The course teaches the general content of the six items each worker must know (29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(2)(i)). The employer teaches the tasks at its sites, the controls and respirators it uses and the name of the competent person. The written plan, the copy of the standard, the respirator program (medical evaluation and fit testing) and medical surveillance are also the employer's. HealthSafetyU does not do medical exams or fit tests. This course is not an OSHA approval or certification, and it is not legal advice.

About 45 minutes, online, at your own pace, on a computer or a phone. You can start right after you pay. At the end there is a 15-question final exam; you need 80% to pass, and you can try again as many times as you need.

A HealthSafetyU certificate of completion with the date, the exam result and the instructor's name, for the employer's training records. It is valid for one year and has a verification code and a QR code. Your employer can verify it online. Note: the standard sets no yearly deadline to repeat the training.
